Dear Students and parents
I hope you had a restful and enjoyable summer holiday and welcome to a new academic year.
Website-Some of you may have heard about the new school website, we are still in the early stages of development soon we hope to have the facility for members to log in. This will enable students and parents to access and download the weekly teaching plan and school newsletter release. Our aim is to communicate without the usage of paper where possible. If you have any comments on the website, please feel free to contact our webmaster Mr Quawn Hsu.
The first emperor, china's terracotta army exhibition -
For the new school year, we already have some exciting news for you, some you may remember we had conducted a survey for the British Museum in last May. The museum is arranging for us to have exclusive access to the exhibition for an hour long visit. I will try to combine this with our Chinese New Year Programme. Please read the newsletter and book your place in advance. The teachers and I have visited recently for a preview and it was a unique and astonishing experience.
We are proud to announce that we have 80% of our students from last year continue for the new semester, as well as many parents signing up for a one year course. That is very encouraging for us as a school. We had a very successful year and we hope that this year will exceed our previous achievements. As we have moved to the new premises we will be settling in for the initial 2-3 weeks.
Asset Languages Assessments 2008-
I intend to enter our students to take ASSET Languages external assessments in 2008, in the end of September. Teachers and I would recommend you or your children to apply. Please refer to www.assetlanguages.org.uk for more information about Asset Languages assessment scheme.
I hope you like the new car park space arrangements and please feel free to contact me if any problems of queries.
We have new branches of the school opening in Muswell Hill and Mill Hil which run on weekdays. All students are of Hua Hsia, all members and are invited to the Chalk Farm branch when we have our Chinese Festival celebration.
I hope you or your children enjoy learning with us.
Yours sincerely
